Bay Ridge Brooklyn Art Program & Camps
About Brooklyn Art House
A Creative Place for Kids to Feel Inspired & Supported
At Brooklyn Art House, we believe every child deserves a place where creativity is celebrated, friendships grow, and childhood feels joyful, curious, and full of possibility.
Located in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, Brooklyn Art House offers afterschool programs, school break camps, creative art classes, and middle school portfolio prep in a safe, welcoming environment parents can count on.
Here, children are encouraged to explore, experiment, make mistakes, try new things, and discover what they are capable of creating.
More Than An Art Studio
Brooklyn Art House is built around the belief that art helps children grow in meaningful ways. Through painting, drawing, crafts, mixed media, nature-inspired projects, games, outdoor time, and hands-on activities, kids develop creativity, confidence, fine motor skills, independence, and a stronger sense of self.
Our programs are designed to give children a balance of structure and freedom. They receive guidance and encouragement while still having space to express themselves, build friendships, and enjoy being kids.
For parents, Brooklyn Art House provides something just as important: a dependable place where children are safe, cared for, engaged, and excited to return.
Meet Miss Susan
Brooklyn Art House was founded from a lifelong love of art and a passion for creating meaningful experiences for children. Led by Susan Young, the studio gives kids a place to explore their creativity, build confidence, develop new skills, and become part of a caring creative community.
Known by families as Miss Susan, she brings warmth, patience, imagination, and thoughtful structure to every program. Her goal is to create an environment where children are comfortable trying new things, expressing themselves, and taking pride in what they create.
Whether a child is attending afterschool, joining camp for a school break, discovering a new artistic interest, or preparing a middle school art portfolio, Susan makes sure each student feels seen, encouraged, and capable.
